Ottawa -– 12 August, 2014 – BluMetric Environmental Inc. (TSX-V: BLM), an Ottawa-based cleantech company, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a new contract with Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) for environmental consulting services in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and the Yukon. The contract is valued at up to $3 million with a duration of up to three years.
BluMetric Professional Services Division will provide services as required for specific projects on a site-by-site basis, relating to a wide variety of federally controlled contaminated sites funded and managed through the government-wide initiative known as the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP). The scope of BluMetric’s environmental services potentially extends to: storage tank leaks and spills; abandoned dump sites and landfills; remote northern communities; wharf sites; and other active and abandoned federal sites in the far north.
PWGSC also requests assistance with Project Planning, Assessment (for example Phase I/II/III environmental site assessment, risk assessments, hazardous material/waste surveys, demolition assessment and waste surveys, development of remedial action plans (RAPs), reporting and preparation of cost estimates, etc.), and provision of tender documents and site supervision for various environmental projects throughout the northern Territories. BluMetric will also provide administrative and logistical support services.
