BluMetric Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Ottawa -– 09 January, 2015 – BluMetric Environmental Inc. (TSX-V: BLM), a leading Canadian cleantech company, announced today the retirement of Mr. Ian Malone, its founding Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as of January 31, 2015, as planned. At the same time, the company announced the appointment of Ms Vivian Karaiskos as incoming CFO, subject to regulatory approval. In the interim and through to completion of reporting for the 2014 fiscal year, Ms Karaiskos will serve as Vice President, Finance.

Ms Karaiskos has more than 20 years of financial and business experience. She has held various leadership positions in a number of industries, most recently as Vice-President, Finance of a diversified private real estate development company. Her extensive background in financial information systems, business analysis, financial reporting, and board governance, along with her deep understanding of early-stage, fast-growth, and innovative companies, have made her an ideal fit for BluMetric.

“Ms Karaiskos has worked as an integral member of the executive team over the last year, and her contributions to the structure and form of today’s BluMetric, the post-transition company, are considerable,” said Mr. Roger Woeller, BluMetric Environmental’s Chief Executive Officer. “She brings experience, leadership, and the financial discipline necessary to capitalize on future opportunities. It is with pleasure that we welcome her to her new role.”

“On behalf of the BluMetric team, I would like to thank Mr. Ian Malone for his invaluable contributions as BluMetric’s first CFO. With his extensive experience and broad range of contacts, Ian has helped to shepherd the company through its RTO and first years as a public company,” Woeller added. “We are happy to say that Ian has consented to stay on in the role of Board Secretary, so that we will continue to benefit from his knowledge and expertise.”
