A small start with a big vision Water and Earth Science Associates (WESA) is founded as a focused hydrogeology practice – just a small team with a commitment to solving complex water and environmental challenges.
People who shape our story Ian Macdonald joins the team – now the longest-serving BluMetric employee and a symbol of the loyalty and expertise that define our culture.
First major expansion The Ottawa team moves to a larger office in Carp, Ontario, and a new office opens in Kitchener, marking early regional growth.
Expansion into Quebec Envir-Eau is founded in Hull, Quebec, establishing a strong presence in the Quebec market.
Kingston office opens BluMetric expands into Eastern Ontario with the founding of the Kingston office.
New Service Line Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Health and Safety services established, based in Carp.
Montreal office established A new office opens in Montreal, strengthening service across Quebec.
Northern Ontario growth The Sudbury office is established to support mining and industrial clients.
Greater Toronto Area expansion The acquisition of Angus Environmental and Orser Environmental brings new offices in Toronto and Burlington, along with expanded industrial hygiene and OHS capabilities.
Building a Northern legacy BluMetric establishes a long-term project and client presence in Nunavut, supporting federal contaminated sites programs and helping restore impacted lands, work that continues today and reflects our commitment to creating a better environment for generations to come.
WESA becomes WESA Group Inc. The company updates its corporate structure as it continues to grow.
Into the North The Yellowknife office opens, supporting projects across Canada’s northern and remote regions.
A new chapter begins WESA and Seprotech amalgamate to form BluMetric Environmental Inc., combining environmental consulting with advanced water technology solutions.
WaterTech Manufacturing Footprint Expands WaterTech establishes new office and additional manufacturing capacity in Carp, Ontario called the Carp Campus
