Ottawa-based cleantech company, BluMetric Environmental, has teamed up with Swiss water technology firm, Aquarion, in a technology, business, and project development agreement with an industrial wastewater focus.
Under the deal, the companies will join forces to “address wastewater treatment issues in the context of increasingly stringent government regulation and exacting client demands, cooperate on the development of new technologies in the face of evolving industry needs, and support each other’s growth through strategic sectoral and regional business development,” they explained.
“With Aquarion’s strength in oil and gas and energy coupled with BluMetric’s depth in mining, real estate, military, and industrial solutions, the potential for growth is substantial,” said Aquarion’s chief executive officer, Karl Michael Millauer. “These two companies have complementary technologies, similar cultures, and few regional overlaps,” he added.
BluMetric has an extensive track-record of global projects in the mining, food and beverage, and municipal sectors from offices across Canada and Central America.
